Today my computer is acting very strange. Our moniter dies every so often, and has to be shaken 'awake' when it does. Now the computer is changing colors, from the regular standard windows colors to rainbows! Then it blinks. Very weird. It's also been terminating my windows a lot. I don't think it's a virus, probably just a very overloaded 3 GB hard drive. Oh well, I guess some computer problems you have to live with, until you replace them (the computer, not the problem :)
There's so much to blog about!
A few days ago we were loading up our sound equipment into the bus, which my dad had driven up from the backyard and stopped in front of our house. 15 minutes or so before we were ready to leave a police officer drove up in his cruiser. He got out and talked to us, and reminded us that there's no parking on that side of the street at any time. Since we were idling, and we were still loading up, my dad said something about being allowed to unload/load cars, trucks, etc. The officer said there is no STOPPING (!) on the street, it's illigal (he actually said this) to get oil delivered to this side of the street. The same goes for mail trucks, ups, and any other vehicle that stops on the street, even if someone is in the front seat, and the car is idling. Hahah, what a law. I really can't imagine the selectmen who voted this law in expecting it to be interpeted this way, in my town of 7,000 people, and two stoplights. I think however maybe it was just this police officer that interpeted it that way, we've had an understanding with the police for years that unloading/loading was perfectly ok.
AHH...my fingers have been forming blisters for the past few weeks, due to playing too much upright bass. It's a real bother, especially now that the skin has come off one of them. I guess it's going to take longer than I thought to get good callouses going. The pains of being a musician.
I went to the junkyard the other day, and spent a few minutes taking off the trim pieces identifying the vehicle (such as Honda, Ford, etc.). Cost me $2, and made a nice addition to my wall of hubcaps :) I put them all up with some medical tape I found hanging around my room yesterday, when I woke up this morning, all of them (about 10) had fallen off except Honda!!!!! I'd like to think that means something (GO HONDA!!!!) but the Honda is just about ready to fall off too :) I guess I should go in search of some tacks instead of tape.
After seeing Airplane voted one of the top funny movies in the Readers Digest I got it out from the library. Bad decision. That movie is simply to corny to be funny. (While one of the characters is on the phone with Mayo Clinic he gets a call from Ham-something or other, "Alright, I'll take the Ham, hold the Mayo". The guy is asked at the airport "Smoking or non-smoking?", when he's handed his 'smoking ticket', it has smoke rising from it.).
I didn't get through more then the first 15 minutes. Maybe it gets better later on. Ha.
I also watched Friendly Persuasion, with Gary Cooper + Dorothy McGuire. It was actually pretty funny, between all those 'thees' and 'thous', which just added to the character of the movie. The war scenes were lacking, but the movie really wasn't about that. The version I saw had behind-the-scenes footage which originally aired on TV before the movie came out. It gave me a better idea of what goes on (you guessed it!) BEHIND THE SCENES!!! Good movie overall.
Well, this is all for now :)

PS. I think I'm going to sign my posts from now on, giving it more of an email format rather than blog. Since I don't get a chance to email a lot, consider this my 'group' email.
