I'm 3 days into this cold and it has hit me hard this morning. Still, it only hits one thing at a time. First I had congestion, then last night a sore throat, now back to congestion, and it feels like I might have some sinus problems coming. So, plenty of tea, and I should be ready for the concert we have for this afternoon ;)
It hasn't snowed here for several weeks, we've been getting rain. According to weather reports from a friend in AL, it's just as cold there as it is here. However, the lack of snow means the lack of sore backs from shovelling, so it's just as well.
We've been to walmart 4 or 5 times in the past day and a half. The first time we just shopped, the second time we bought the stuff we had forgotten, then some of it we had to return, etc etc. Today we're planning another trip :) Hey, the 50% off only lasts a few days a year. I was disapointed to see there was little to no marked down holliday candy :
I strung some 50% off christmas lights in my room. When I was younger I'd change my room around at least twice a year. I remember a friend stepping upstairs and telling me it was a surprise to see my room the same way as it had been the last time he had seen in. lol.
Now the bed and all the major furniture stays in one place, and I've found a lovely shade of green that I'll be sticking with for a while. I taped white christmas lights around the perimeter or the room a few years ago, yesterday I installed blue tube lights. It turned out very nice, and it was considerably less frustrating when I switched to sheetrock screws (instead of their included cheapos) and magnetized the bit in the drill. I was pondering how my ceiling would look covered with blue lights, swirled around in spirals and such. Too much work...lol.
I got the hankering to find a long hair forum online, so to google I went. I found a nice site that sells hairsticks (watch out, they're $64 a pair!!!!!!!) but also has a message board. There are some images I don't appreciate there, they are 'classic' art of scantily clad women, or in some cases no clothes at all. Of course some people would say it's all in good taste, but no matter how old, naked people in pictures don't sit well with me. I suppose it's up to personal interpetation. http://www.longlocks.com
Also http://www.xxl-haar.de is a good hair site. It has pictures of the longest hair in the world (16 feet), and the woman who owns the site has very nice red-henna knee length hair.
Opon visiting these sites I discovered how to measure hair (from front of hair line to the ends). Mine measures a mere 34 inches. I was going to cut it another three inches (I just had it cut) but I got inspired when I went to these websites and decided I'll just keep it long.
