I just got back from the district band concert! It went great except that in the middle of the 7 hour rehearsal someone pulled the fire alarm and we had to evacuate the building. It wasted almost 2 hours, it was a prank. They never found out who it was either. However the pieces went great at the concert and I really had fun.
I just got a new book on trumpet in the mail today, Jeff Smiley's Balanced Embouchure. It's a revolutionary approach to playing trumpet, I'm sure I will get a lot out of it.
My back is aching and I'm so tired...those long rehearsals really drain you. I'll blog again soon......
