Yesterday my mouse chewed his water bottle and it finally made a hole all the way through and he experienced 'the great flood of January, 2004'. It soaked his glass cage and when I got up he was huddled in a corner, soaking wet. Tsk tsk tsk. He's fine now, but he's having to drink his water the old fashioned way, out of a dish.

The past year has been very different for my family and I. My grandfather moved in just about one year ago, after experiencing a nasty fall on vacation in FL. We spent the first few weeks after his accident just worrying, hearing bits and pieces from the hospital he was in. We finally decided we needed to take action (!) and flew him up on a plane (our arms got so tired! sorry...bad joke.). In the beginning it was certainly tough. There were so many aspects of taking care of a fall/stroke victim. He wasn't walking, talking, eating, drinking, or doing anything for himself. They told us he was on his way out when he first got off the plane, somehow with God's mercy he made it to the hospital, and then after several days to our house. We completely ripped out the contents of one of our most cluttered main floor rooms and put brought them to his emtpy house in NH, to make room for his bedroom at our house. We're still looking for things that supposedly were originally in that room! With God's help he has come SO far from where he was! He now does all the above mentioned on his own!

Mom is giving me that speech, about being online too long. My family are the only people who keep my brain from turning to mush...otherwise I'd be online WAAAAAY too much :p
