(don't worry, it won't be long because I am going to watch Fiddler on the Roof with everyone else)
We spent a few days at Virginia Beach, visiting our great aunt and uncle and their kids. It was so much fun! We played keep away in the pool for hours (with 13-15 people in the pool) and hung out all evening. Then we visited our grandparents with our aunt's family, who is visiting from China. Her husband and her two kids have been living in China for about a year, they're teaching English at a university there. From what they tell us, life is very different over there! I tried to find a link my aunt gave me to her friend's blog (who lives there) but I can't seem to find it. His description of the clothing children wear, as well as their bathroom habits, were most, um, interesting. Very different. My cousin, who is blond, says the ladies there touch her hair all of the time - they don't tell them to stop because it's rude, they just walk away. My aunt, who wears a size 9 shoe says the ladies make fun of her for having 'big feet'. And they don't make any shoes bigger then a 7 in the shops near where they live. Weird, huh? The girls spoke some Chinese for us (!) and they brought us some very nice looking chopsticks.
