Home at last...we're home a week early from our 7 week tour. Our generator is broken and it was going to be hard to stay on the road in the North without any heat. If our generator gets fixed before Thursday, we're planning (Lord willing) to be in Delaware and NJ Thursday through the weekend for five concerts. It is sooo nice to be home, but I really really am praying that we make it to DE and NJ. The people there are so nice, and I just would hate to miss it.
My ear is a whole lot better, thanks to the help of God, your prayers, and the garlic I've been taking every morning (ugh). Earlier I could feel quite a few swollen bumps on my neck, I assume those were my lymph nodes or whatever. The swelling is down and my ear no longer feels like it's bruised. Now the cold has moved into throat, making it rather difficult to sing. The last concert we did had me laughing; my voice was just so incredibly froggy and it kept breaking. I'm so happy to be able to hear though. Our concert with my ear all blocked up was really annoying. If you have ever played trumpet with earplugs, you know what I'm talking about! I sounded (to myself, at least) like I was just playing with a mouthpiece.
BTW, happy birthday to Jerry.
